Lovelink is a mobile game created by Ludia Inc. which I had the opportunity to work on during my programming internships. It takes a spin on the dating simulator genre by imitating real life dating apps in the likes of Tinder.

During my first internship at the end of my CEGEP program, I got to see the birth of this new game. At the time, it was considered a new feature within the game What’s Your Story.

During my second internship, I got to develop new features for what was now the standalone Lovelink app.

SECOND INTERNSHIP

WHAT’S YOUR STORY

When I first joined, the team had started to integrate Lovelink within the What’s your story app.

I was tasked with doing some bug fixes on WYS, but a lot of my tasks were helping to develop what is essentially the prototype for Lovelink.

Once the team saw the potential and popularity of this new feature, that’s when Lovelink as a standalone app began to enter the works.

Unfortunately, it was also at that moment my internship ended, but at least I got to see the birth of a new project!

LOVELINK – STANDALONE

Coming back to the team two years later, I got to see what the project I had left had become.

This time around, I got the opportunity to work on new features, such as the Blow Kiss, which lets you bypass wait timers.

Working alongside my fellow programmers, the designers, the integrators and the QAs to make the best new features was definitely something I enjoyed, even though I’ve since changed from programming to design.
